Intex Pool Volleyball

Funnest Pool Toys

About Intex Pool Volleyball

Intex Pool Volleyball is an inflatable, floating volleyball net and ball that’s just as much for adults as it is for kids.

The large, sturdy base is made from 10-gauge vinyl to prevent rips or tears, and the ball is made from 7-gauge vinyl for durability. It comes with anchors that you can fill with rocks or other heavy objects to keep the net from floating away and a repair patch just in case.

Our Thoughts

This volleyball set is bigger than expected, and that’s a good thing if you want to play with several people. It’s also easy to assemble, so you can quickly set it up and get playing in no time.

The set is very inexpensive at about $10, but one thing to note is that the anchors don’t always hold the net in place. Some users have had to set the anchors along the sides of the pool instead of under the water.

The Pros

  • Ideal for children and adults
  • Very inexpensive
  • Durable

The Cons

  • Anchors don’t always hold net in place

Swimline Log Flume Joust

Best Pool Toys

About Swimline Log Flume Joust

The Log Flume Joust set from Swimline allows you to battle it out with an opponent while you both try to keep your balance on floating inflatable logs.

Each set comes with two inflatable logs as well as two inflatable boppers for dueling. Each piece is made from heavy-duty vinyl for extra durability.

While the manufacturer doesn’t list a weight limit, we’ve found that this set can hold at least up to 240 lbs., so kids and adults can both enjoy it.

Our Thoughts

Getting onto the logs is challenging, since it’s very difficult to stay on them without flipping at first.

You’ll definitely learn some new ways to balance, and have a plenty of laughs while attempting to do battle with the boppers.

And while this might seem like a children’s toy, this jousting set is a lot of fun for adults, too.

The set can easily take a beating without tearing or popping, too, so it’s definitely worth its price, which is less than $25.

The Pros

  • Fun for kids and adults
  • Durable

The Cons

  • Challenging to stay on the logs

Aqua Dive Rings

Pool Toys

About Aqua Dive Rings

If you’re looking for a simple, affordable pool toy that’s great for kids, beginner swimmers, or just about anyone who likes to dive underwater, the Aqua Dive Rings could be a great choice.

These large, brightly colored rings are 6 inches in diameter and weighted to float to the bottom of the pool.

Kids can use them to play a toss and retrieve game, or beginners can use the rings as encouragement to swim underwater. They also make a great swim training tool, since you can toss and retrieve one at a time as quickly as possible.

Regardless of how you choose to use them, these inexpensive rings are a great addition to any pool.

Our Thoughts

These rings are a classic toy, and one that’s just as good for learning as it is for playing. Kids love using them and creating their own games.

The rings work exactly as described, and the colors are vibrant under the water. At less than $10, this simple toy isn’t something you want to pass up for young children.

The Pros

  • Low price
  • Easy to use
  • Ideal for playing and swim training

The Cons

Watermelon Ball

Fun Pool Toys

About Watermelon Ball

The Watermelon Ball isn’t an ordinary inflatable ball. This ball looks just like a watermelon, and it’s designed for playing underwater.

You fill it with water instead of air to keep its buoyancy neutral, then let the fun begin.

You can kick it, bounce it, pass it, or dribble it underwater at a depth of up to 10 feet without it floating up to the surface.

This ball comes with a garden hose adapter for easy filling, and it’s made from thick PVC so you don’t have to worry about it tearing or popping.

Our Thoughts

The Watermelon Ball can be a lot of fun for kids, teenagers, and even adults. Its unique structure makes it a lot of fun for just about any water game, and it would be a major hit at any pool party.

The ball is very durable, too, and it can hold up to a lot of use without any wear or tear.

One thing to note is that the ball can be quite heavy outside of the water, so make sure the kids don’t throw it at each other’s heads.

The Watermelon Ball costs around $25, which is somewhat expensive for a ball, but it’s very unique and a fun toy that you’ll most likely get a lot of use out of.

The Pros

  • Ball doesn’t float
  • Very durable
  • Versatile

The Cons

  • Somewhat expensive

Jasonwell Unicorn Float

Awesome Pool Toys

About Jasonwell Unicorn Float

The unicorn trend is here to stay, and one way to embrace it is with this giant unicorn float by Jasonwell. It’s great for lounging in the pool, and it makes a fun prop for pictures.

This oversized unicorn float holds up to 400 lbs., plus it’s big enough to fit two adults or four children at a time.

The unicorn’s details and colors are vibrantly colored, and it has handles along the neck for support. It comes with repair patches and a carrying bag.

Our Thoughts

The Jasonwell Unicorn Float is quite an impressive raft, and it’s very easy to fill with an electric or hand pump. We don’t really recommend trying to fill it by mouth, since it takes a lot of air.

The material feels very sturdy and soft, and the float holds up well without deflating.

The carrying bag makes it easy to tote the unicorn to the pool, lake, beach, or anywhere you want to take it.

It’s also relatively inexpensive considering the size, at about $30. And if you’re an adult taking it to the pool, expect to get a lot of attention from kids.

One downside is that the colors can fade after a season of use.

The Pros

  • Large, colorful design
  • Holds up to 4 kids
  • Durable material

The Cons

  • Colors fade after one season

GoPong Beer Pong Float

Adult Pool Toys

About GoPong Beer Pong Float

We couldn’t have a pool toys list without including something for adults only. This GoPong Beer Pong Float can be used for playing beer pong, as a lounging raft, or even just to hold drinks.

It’s 6 feet long and 3 feet wide, and it has 28 built-in cupholders. There’s also a cooler spot in the center, which has enough space for ice and up to 18 beverages.

The float also has four grommets, so you can anchor or tether it so it stays in place.  It also comes with 6 pong balls and  a repair patch kit in case of any leaks.

Our Thoughts

The GoPong Beer Pong Float is a nice addition to any pool, especially for social gatherings. Even if you aren’t into drinking games, the float makes a nice cup holder so your drinks are always within reach.

The float feels very sturdy, and the material can stand up to heavy use without worrying about tears or leaks. It’s also very large, so it might not be ideal for smaller pools.

Another thing to note is that the cooler section in the middle of the float isn’t really insulating, and it does get filled with water easily.

You can find this float for around $40, which isn’t too bad considering the size and the amount of cup holders included.

The Pros

  • Lots of cup holders
  • Built-in cooler
  • Comes with pong balls
  • Doubles as a raft

The Cons

  • Cooler doesn’t insulate well

Jilong Inflatable Water Wheel

Best Pool Toys For Adults

About Jilong Inflatable Water Wheel

The Jilong Inflatable Water Wheel is a giant wheel that floats on the water, and kids love it! They can get inside the wheel and try to walk or crawl across the water, similar to a hamster wheel.

This toy is great for exercise or just having fun, and it’s also a nice spot to get in just to relax and float on the water.

The material is made from thick, clear PVC with brightly colored nylon tubes, and it doesn’t leak or tear easily. It comes with a repair patch, too, just in case.

This wheel is large enough to hold two small children at a time, but even older kids or adults can use it.

Our Thoughts

This water wheel is easy to fill and really fun to use. While its intended use is for using as a hamster wheel, some kids like to turn it on its side and use it as a fort, or try to jump or dive through it.

Regardless of how you plan to use it, this water wheel can provide a good time for everyone.

One thing to note, however, is that occasionally people have said theirs came with leaks right out of the box, but this isn’t a common occurrence.

For about $30, you’ll get plenty of enjoyment out of this water wheel.
